Montana Art Series

Many of these paintings are from around the Missoula area. I lived on the Blackfoot River just outside of Missoula and so began a series of paintings depicting the beautiful clear water that I hiked along, kayaked and rafted in, and endlessly photographed.

I also explored surrounding areas and had the awesome opportunity to raft on several occasions another nearby river, the Clarkfork through what is known as the Alberton Gorge. Being so drawn to the rivers and lakes that we were able to spend time in, I began more and more painting water scenes as well as so many breathtaking spots that Montana has to offer.
