My initial studies in art began with watercolor and I pursued painting in this manner for many years until I eventually went back to school to go deeper into fully developing as an artist. My love of color has always been evident throughout all of my work, and though I mainly work in oils these days I still enjoy the freshness and spontaneity of watercolor. As a true colorist, I discovered Gouache, an opaque watercolor several years ago and began using this for my watercolor paintings as it enables me to layer and build the depth of color more easily which I absolutely love.
